An illustration of the Steve Miller Band's "Fly Like an Eagle".

Identity Theft

Whammy

This is what happens when you throw stuff at a scrap of wood.. and don't care what happens.

Feminine Libido Recovery

An illustration for an article about "Feminine Libido Recovery" so naturally that's right up my alley... Anyway, It depicts a bunch flourishing flowers (regular women) contrasted with a wilting flower (woman not feeling beautiful) but a glimmer of hope as the dew drops from the wilting flower falling onto a sprout of a new flower (the recovering libido).

Robots, Octopi and.. Steve Zissou? Oh My

First: Robot vs Octopus, a relief scupture using sculpy on Wood, then painted. Second: A textured portrait of Steve Zissou from The Life Aquatic using drywall plaster and polyester material. If You haven't seen that movie.. get out.

Gotta Hand It To Me!.. I'm Funny.

Life Drawing studies of Hands and Feet.

A Hazy Past

We were given a backstory to two characters, then told to illustrate one person and their past using collage. I'm too tired to write down the whole story, so use your imagination.

The Great Migration of Giant Honeybees across the Foggy Moors of Scotland, Featuring Pink Elephants.

"Impossible Possible" image, which was supposed to depict two things that could exist.. but doesn't make any sense when you think about it.. and that about sums up this picture. Oh, we had to include veils again, so I chose fog.

Welcome to the Spooky Forest

A quick attempt at painting scenery which includes a veil (Fog)

Woosh!

My second line from the 'Better Dreams' collaboration. The line was: "One love draws towards heaven, the other draws down".

Zing!

Part of Greg's extra-cirricular "Better Dreams" collaboration. 10 of us were given 2 lines from a poem, and told to illustrate them without knowing what the other people were doing. It was fun! This line was: "That a devine dart can penetrate it quickly".

Late Night Snack

Hey look, It's a my old apartment! This is the corner of the room leading into the kitchen.. and there's the kitchen. 'nuf said.

Danger! Danger!

A sunken object, in this case.. the robot from the 1960's Television show 'Lost in Space'.

Happy Camper!

We were givin fortune cookies, and told to illustrate the fortune we received. This is "A home is a pleasent place from which you draw happiness". So.. a turtle is one with his home.. and altho he appears to be in a dark scary forest, he's a happy a camper, pun intdended.

What is it Good For? Sing It!

Ladybugs! Ladybugs! Ladybugs!

The study of a Ladybug, followed by a swarm of ladybugs. Ink takes a long time folks.. and you get one shot. It's like brain surgery.. but not at all.

Final Piece

So this is what I ended up with.. OK, let's get this outta the way.. I know the glass looks stupid, as soon as i put in down I hated it.. but I plan on fixing it, and making it a Hell of a lot smaller. But time played a factor in this painting.. and i really needed to go party.. so i quit. But I'll finish it.. i promise, if my name isn't Bennett Danger Slater.

Self Portrait (Midway)

Well, Day 2 of my self portrait has come and gone.. and I am still taking my sweet time. I'm tryin to figure the geometry of the eisle out, and it's a struggle. I fixed up my face a bit.. made it more human, and less tight. But as you can see.. a lot more work is needed. curses.. this is really going to cut into my end of the year partying.
